i loved fast by patrick.
the world is full of inefficiencies waiting to be exploited. traditional educational system (as of 2026) is an absolute waste of time. almost everyone wastes 10-12 years spending 8 hours everyday at an institution and most people come out without mastery of anything. institutions which actually want progress did not existed. everyone great has always been an autodidact in some way or another.
platforms like mathacademy and physicsgraph are changing it. i don't think they are at their best state. it will take more improvements before we get quite efficient at education.
also, most things are constrained by parkinson's law than they are by planning fallacy. most project timelines are overinflated. bureaucratic delays have also caused lots of value erosion and we as a civilisation are running highly inefficiently than we could.
this also goes for skill development and many other things.
